Hello all,

Due to a low turn out, I will extend the Round 1 of the contest to June 20th, in hopes that more people will be able to participate. I hope this works out, and does not inconvenience anyone.

Contest overview: Myself and the judges are a series of investors, looking to invest in the newest line of combat mecha. Each contestant will be their own Company, trying to design the best Mecha to catch our attention.

The objective:
Draw a design for the best Mecha. For this contest, a mecha is defined as any humanoid robot (autonomous or piloted) sized anywhere from 10 to 50 feet in height.
Each design must feature the following either in the description, or on the deviation image:
-Mecha's height and weight.
-Who or what pilots it.
-Armaments (Can be original, or can be referenced from a *source material).
-Armor (Can be original, or referenced from a *source material).
-Power source (Can be original, or referenced from a *source material).
-Special attack or power** (Can be original or from a *source material).

Once everyone has submitted their entries, then, you all have a chance to modify your mecha to meet your competition. I encourage you all, to steal elements each others ideas by "Reverse engineering" their designs in your own art style. For example, if you see a weapon design you like, you would then re-draw your mecha with that weapon drawn in your style.

*A note on sourcing. Please site what you are referencing, and be sure not to straight out copy. This group does not permit fanart, but cannon designs are allowed (ie, you could not make a Gundam, but you could design a mecha with the same specs as a Gundam)
**A note about special attacks and powers. All designs should have a flaw or weakness, so please refrain from designing an "invincible" build or something that would be over powered. For flavor, the more powerful the design, the more expensive it would be, and therefor, the less appealing for investors.

Scoring:
Once all the entries are in, each judge can choose to invest an amount of money (points) in each design. The points will range from 1 million to 10 million. It is at this point, the second round will begin. Each contestant can re-design their mecha to try to get more points. Then the second round of scoring will begin, from there the winner will be determined.

If you intend on participating, please comment, and give the name of your fictional company. If you have any comments or questions, please let me know!

Thank you, and I hope you have fun!

Hey, I'm wondering if I'm too late to submit my mech design?
